In a world dominated by strict lines and uniformity, where imagination often takes a back seat, U-BOAT — the iconic brand from Lucca led by visionary Italo Fontana — marks its 25th anniversary by smashing the mold with the radical U-65 collection.

Premiered globally at the prestigious Watches & Wonders Geneva 2025, the U-65 is not just a timepiece — it’s a declaration of boldness and creative rebellion. With its dramatic 44mm case in satin-brushed 316L stainless steel and a prominent ultra-curved sapphire crystal, it instantly stands apart.

Comfort and adaptability are redefined with uniquely engineered movable lugs. These are detached from the main case and fastened with a proprietary system, ensuring a flawless fit on any wrist.

The watch’s three-tiered skeleton dial — industrial in tone and finished in grey or black — carries a powerful visual identity. It’s elevated by U-BOAT’s signature Oil Immersion Technology, also seen in the Capsoil and Darkmoon series.

Inside, a transparent fluid surrounds the Ronda 756 movement, amplifying the curvature of the glass and creating a vivid three-dimensional effect. A compensation bubble drifts across the dial, playfully interacting with the 12, 8, and 4 o’clock markers — each treated with Super-LumiNova in vibrant hues of acid green, aquamarine, and white — and with the distinctively styled hour and second hands.

Straying from tradition, the U-65 eliminates the typical crown on the left side, achieving a more streamlined and futuristic silhouette.

Time-setting is handled via a subtle button embedded in the center of the case back. This mechanism, secured by U-BOAT’s patented Locking Ring System, allows precise hour-by-hour adjustments. Nearby, a pair of screw-down compartments allow for easy battery changes and fluid refills.

A sleek black silicone strap, smooth and soft to the touch, completes the cutting-edge design.
