Introducing the David Candaux DC7 Blue Hawk: A Fusion of Art and Mechanics
The DC7 Blue Hawk is the latest masterpiece by independent watchmaker David Candaux, blending sculptural design with technical sophistication. Building on the DC7 Genesis and Titanium Green, the Blue Hawk pushes boundaries with bolder contrasts and refined asymmetry
Crafted in hand-polished Grade 5 titanium, the 44mm case features a vertically asymmetric silhouette and ergonomic curved lugs for a comfortable fit. Its standout “Magic Crown” system, hidden until activated, enhances both form and function.
The dial showcases a stunning multi-level layout in anodised titanium, highlighted by luminous blue markers, skeleton hands, and a bold triangular index at 6 o’clock. At 12 o’clock, a dramatic 30° inclined flying tourbillon anchors the design, doubling as a small seconds display.
Inside, the hand-wound H70 calibre powers the watch, delivering a 72-hour reserve through twin barrels. Made of titanium and finished to haute horlogerie standards, the movement includes a tourbillon cage and visible screws that add architectural flair. A yellow gold medallion with Candaux’s bear-head emblem adds a signature touch.
Completing the watch is a handcrafted rubber strap with various closure options, ensuring a secure and stylish fit. The DC7 Blue Hawk is a bold yet balanced expression of modern horological artistry.
