Jacob & Co. Unveils the World’s First Four-Axis Tourbillon
At Geneva Watch Week, Jacob & Co. introduced the Astronomia Revolution Four-Axis Tourbillon—a bold evolution of its iconic Astronomia line. Limited to just 18 pieces, this groundbreaking watch features the world’s first tourbillon with four axes, completing a full rotation every one minute.
To power this high-speed mechanism, Jacob & Co. developed a patent-pending whip-based constant force system, which delivers energy in precise 1/6th-second bursts—ensuring consistent motion and stability.
Visually spectacular, the 47mm case (inspired by the James Webb Space Telescope) houses 18 hexagonal mirrors to amplify reflections of the rotating movement. The watch also features a multi-axis flying tourbillon, spinning on one axis in 1 minute and on the other in just 15 seconds.
A pyramid-cut ruby rotates every 15 seconds, acting as a seconds indicator—an Astronomia first.
