Rado Captain Cook 39mm Gets Gradient Dials
Rado refreshes its iconic Captain Cook line with a new 39mm model, now featuring
striking gradient dials and ceramic bezels. Originally introduced in 1962 and revived in 2017, the Captain Cook continues to evolve with modern materials and a more compact size ideal for daily wear.
The stainless steel case is 39mm wide and 12mm thick, water-resistant to 300 metres, and topped with a box-shaped sapphire crystal. Its unidirectional ceramic bezel comes in either light blue or black, adding a sleek and functional touch.
New dial options include a turquoise gradient fading from deep to light tones, and a black dial shifting to oceanic green-blue. Staying true to the vintage design, it features luminescent arrow hands, applied indices with blue Super-LumiNova, a red date display at 3 o’clock, and the signature rotating anchor at 12.
Powering the watch is Rado’s R763 automatic movement with an antimagnetic Nivachron hairspring and a strong 80-hour power reserve. Paired with a polished beads-of-rice bracelet, the watch blends classic dive watch style with modern performance.
