Introducing the Ming 29.06 Peep Show - where light and motion transform time
Since its launch, Ming has consistently challenged traditional watch design by transforming the dial into an interactive visual experience. The latest 29.06 Peep Show continues this philosophy with an innovative concept that blends mechanical craftsmanship with optical illusion. While it belongs to the same family as the acclaimed 29.01 Worldtimer, this new creation removes additional complications to place full attention on its ever-changing display. Encased in a lightweight 40mm grade 5 titanium body, the watch preserves Ming’s signature bezel-free architecture, where the sapphire crystal seamlessly flows across the front for a sleek and futuristic appearance. The floating “flying blade” lugs further enhance the modern profile while maintaining exceptional comfort on the wrist.
What truly defines the 29.06 Peep Show is its remarkable use of polarisation technology. Instead of conventional watch hands, Ming employs rotating sapphire discs fitted with polarised elements that control the visibility of the dial. As these discs shift alignment, the dial alternates between fully visible and almost completely dark, creating a mesmerising transformation with every passing minute. Beneath this dynamic effect lies an intricately machined guilloché surface finished with the brand’s multiphasic coating, producing vivid reflections and changing colours depending on the angle of light. The result feels almost alive, turning the watch into a constantly evolving artwork rather than a static instrument for telling time.

Powering the watch is the advanced Schwarz-Etienne ASE 200.M1 automatic calibre, visible through the transparent caseback. Featuring an openworked architecture, tungsten micro-rotor, and approximately 86 hours of power reserve, the movement combines technical sophistication with refined finishing. Limited to only 50 pieces, the 29.06 Peep Show stands as a bold demonstration of how independent watchmaking can merge engineering, creativity, and visual theatre into a single extraordinary timepiece.
