Founded in Paris in 1785 under Charles Leroy, L. Leroy is a watch brand with a historically significant heritage and provenance. Once a watchmaking company to Europe’s Royal Courts, the company won the 1900 Paris Exposition with a highly technical complication timepiece, the Leroy 01, that retained the accolade of being the world’s most complicated watch up until 1989. Acclaimed for their watchmaking finesse and technical mastery, today the company continue to honour the rich legacy of this great watchmaking name with exceptional timepieces that are beautifully crafted within their state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Switzerland’s Vallée du Joux. The Leroy Osmior Monopusher Chronograph forms part of a collection that is named for an ancient metal alloy once used by the Maison in three Grande Complication watches.

The Osmior LL101/3 Monopusher Chronograph is housed within a rounded case sized at 41mm, manufactured from 18ct pink gold, fitted with a single crown which starts, stops and resets the chronograph timing function. The resplendent case of the watch is paired with an exquisite dial, crafted from gold with a champagne toned finish, on which superb guilloché decoration has been rendered by hand, adding texture to the surface and elevating the prestige of the model. The hours, minutes, seconds and the chronograph hands are gold-plated giving excellent contrast with the the dial, while the elegant arabic hour numerals are scripted onto a raised chapter ring that with a polished rim, and the dial is finished with a precision minutes scale at the perimeter.

Inside and beating at a rate of 28’800 vib/h, the Cal. L411.1 movement is Chronometer-certified for accuracy, and has a power reserve of 48 hours. A sapphire crystal section in the caseback enables an appreciation of the Côtes de Genève decoration upon the bridges, and the 22ct gold rotor with its 18ct white gold mass. Adding further to the aesthetic pleasure of the rear side profile, a detailed relief engraving frames the rear sapphire glass. The Leroy Osmior LL101/3 Monopusher Chronograph comes presented on a black leather strap, secured with an 18ct pink gold buckle.
