The ART02 is distinguished by its patented architecture, in which the movement and case
were designed simultaneously as an inseparable whole. Developed without a traditional mainplate, this unique construction directly integrates the case into the movement's structure, creating a mechanical and visual continuity rarely seen in watchmaking. Subtly alternating convex and concave shapes depending on the viewing angle, the 40 mm titanium and sapphire crystal architecture does more than simply house the movement; it is its natural extension. This approach creates an exceptional three-dimensional experience, where transparency, depth, and mechanical animation are expressed from virtually every angle.

At the heart of the watch beats a hand-wound movement oscillating at a frequency of 3 Hz and regulated by a constant-force escapement. Designed to deliver a constant and stable energy to the regulating organ, this mechanism guarantees optimal chronometric performance throughout its effective power reserve. At the center of this device is a Reuleaux triangle, a fascinating geometric figure whose mechanical properties are used to ensure the operation of the constant-force escapement.
Rarely used in watchmaking, this solution illustrates Artime's commitment to combining mechanical excellence, technical creativity, and architectural elegance.
The ART02 also introduces a novel interpretation of the power reserve indicator. Thanks to a two-hand display, the owner can define the end point of the chronometric power reserve. The red hand can be freely positioned across the entire 360° scale, while the white hand continuously indicates the actual energy available in the movement. As the mainspring unwinds, the white hand gradually converges with the red hand. After approximately 80 hours of chronometric power reserve, the two hands meet,
indicating that the constant-force winding mechanism no longer receives sufficient energy from the mainspring barrel to operate at its optimal parameters, thus halting the movement.
