Introducing the Arnold & Son Globetrotter 42 Steel in Strand Blue & Greenwich Green
Arnold & Son expands its world timer collection with the Globetrotter 42 Steel, a refined evolution of its earlier 45mm version. Inspired by John Arnold’s marine chronometers—once essential for navigation and trusted by explorers like Captain Cook—this new edition keeps the spirit of global discovery alive.
Now more wearable at 42mm wide and 15mm thick, the Globetrotter 42 features a slim bezel, fluted crown, domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, transparent case back, and 30m water resistance.
The standout feature is the 3D rotating northern hemisphere globe under a steel bridge, completing a 24-hour rotation to show world time. It's offered in two dial variants: Strand Blue with rhodium touches, and Greenwich Green with gold details. A new city ring with twelve key cities and a 24-hour fixed ring make global timekeeping intuitive. Local time is indicated by luminous hands pointing to both Arabic and Roman numerals.
Powering the watch is the in-house A&S6122 automatic movement, delivering 55 hours of power reserve. Finishing includes a palladium-treated base, ‘Rayons de la Gloire’ bridges, blued screws, and a skeletonized tungsten rotor, all visible through the sapphire back.
Both color variants are matched with hand-stitched alligator straps—ink blue or Cornwall green—and secured with a steel pin buckle engraved with the Arnold & Son logo.
