Glashütte Original’s Seventies ‘X’ Chronograph Arrives Stateside

Glashütte Original has unveiled the Seventies ‘X’ Chronograph, a North America-exclusive timepiece limited to just 100 units. Inspired by the bold aesthetics of the 1970s, the watch carries the collection’s signature 40mm rounded-square case while introducing a striking panda-style dial. The clean white lacquer surface contrasts with textured black subdials and subtle red highlights, celebrating the model’s 10-year anniversary. Inside, the in-house Calibre 37-02 powers the watch, offering a flyback chronograph, Panorama Date, 70-hour reserve, and finely executed German finishing visible through the sapphire caseback. Versatile in style, it comes with both a stainless steel bracelet and a rubber strap, making it equally suited for relaxed weekends or polished occasions. More evolutionary than radical, the Seventies ‘X’ stands out for its confident retro-modern design and rarity as Glashütte’s first U.S.-only limited edition.
